New premium video databases

The Library has purchased subscriptions to two premium video databases:

Academic Video Online (AVON) is the world’s most comprehensive streaming academic video collection. It contains nearly 70,000 titles spanning the widest range of subject areas, including anthropology, business, counseling, film, health, history, music, performing arts, and more. AVON has more than twice the content of any other academic video database. Just a few of the providers represented include CNN, BBC, PBS, Sony Pictures Classics, 60 Minutes, and the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Behavioral and Mental Health Online (BMHO) is a multimedia resource with more than 2,500 videos and almost 3,500 books, documents and transcripts, BMHO is a fundamental resource for studying and teaching in the areas of behavioral and mental health. This ever-growing multi-media resource includes videos of real clinical mental health sessions, DSM-5/ICD-10 video content, psychotherapy transcripts, reference works, clinical mental health textbooks and workbooks, psychological experiments, and more.

As always, the Library depends on our users to help select, renew, or cancel online subscriptions. Please share your opinion or questions about AVON or BMHO in the comment box below.
