According to the American Theological Library Association, “ATLA Religion Database is an essential tool for the study of religion” and “the premier index to journal articles, book reviews, and collections of essays in all fields of religion.” It is one of the Library’s most used databases by students and faculty across the disciplines at Regent.
Last summer the Library decided to change from the FirstSearch to the EBSCOhost platform for ATLA Religion. The content of the database is exactly the same as before, only the format has changed.
Subscribing to ATLA Religion from the EBSCOhost will provide Regent users with a number of important benefits:
- Improved functionality and a more intuitive interface on EBSCOhost’s state-of-the-art platform.
- Greater recognition by Regent users already familiar with other EBSCOhost products subscribed to by the Library.
- Ability to search other EBSCOhost databases (e.g. Academic Search Complete, Old Testament Abstracts, New Testament Abstracts) simultaneously with ATLA Religion.
If you have questions about using ATLA Religion, contact a member of the Library faculty. Regent’s librarians are highly experienced with EBSCOhost databases and can resolve any problems you may have.
